On last Sat was 39 degrees and on Sun (my son's b'day party) was 41 degrees! My gosh... thank god we held the party in-door! This week's even worse... Earth-glo minerals

I've recently purchased 2 items from Earth-Glo minerals via ebay. They also have their own website: http://www.earthglominerals.com/

The 2 items are:-

  1. Wonderworks Prep-prime and adjust primer/veil - Oil free (stated as compare to Make Up Forever's HD Microfinish). Price: USD$6.79 for 10ml (They have 30ml for USD$14.95)

  2. Stay put eyeshadow primer potion. Price: USD$4.50 (price exclu. shipping cost)

I've received the items yesterday and did some testing today. It's nice of them to include some free eyeshadow samples.

I have not tried Make Up Forever HD Microfinish so I can't comment or compare them. All I can say is the Wonderworks is very finely milled, soft and buttery smooth. I mean REALLY SMOOTH... Like silicon. I only tried out on my hands and I like it. Have not tried on my face so I have yet to know whether it does help with oil control. Shall update you guys later about it.

As for Stay put eyeshadow primer potion, it's kinda small tube with applicator wand. It's gel like, not sticky/tacky, when applied on, feels cool and as per instructions, allow to dry briefly but not completely and then apply the eyeshadows on top of primer. (This is also part of the Primer comparisons which I've posted earlier on)

Here's the pics:-

PS: Different people with different opinion or different skin, so some may think it's good and some may not. Well, it does work for me so here's my opinion on them.

I've tried out the free samples given. Top row is without primer and bottom row is with the primer. I'm pretty impress with the primer. I like it! When I just applied their shadows on bare hand, they didn't really show the colors, fade away easily. However when I put the same shadows on top of the primer, it's a miracle, color shows out more and I've tried rubbing off, the top row faded away almost immediately whilst the shadows on primer remain as they were (not much faded no matter how hard I rub) That's great rite!

Well, you should check it out and if you have tried out, let me know what do you think of it?

My new haircut!

Oh yes... I've had my hair cut on last Sat. It's summer now in Perth n weather can be extremely hot. Therefore I had my hair short. What do you think? I kinda like it. Head felt lighter. At this moment, trying to keep my fringe long but later stage I may consider to have it short... I mean "real short" to match with the bob style. Oh well, that will be later in future! :)

Comparison of different primers

Hello, hope everyone had a good holidays! I've been so busy with X'mas and as my son's turning 3 soon, have been busy preparing for his 3rd birthday party.
Anyways since I'm having free time now, thought I should quickly make a review on the different primers which I have.

  1. MAC Paintpot- Bare Study
  2. HighVoltage eyeshadow base (http://www.highvoltagecosmetics.com/) - USD$5.50
  3. EG Minerals perfect eye & lip primer cream (http://www.earthenglowminerals.com/) - USD$9
  4. Detrivore primer (http://www.detrivorecosmetics.com/) - USD$6
  5. Earth-glo Minerals "Stay put Eyeshadow primer potion" (http://www.earthglominerals.com/ or via Ebay store) - USD$4.50

I do have Urban Decay primer potion as well but it's new in box and I didn't wanna open it as yet cos I have the above which are yet to be used up! But I'm sure alot of you would have heard good stuff about the UD primer and yes, UD primer is good but if you're comparing of the prices, above are the alternatives which you may consider of!

Here are the following pics to show the results of individual primer:-

Starting from left is (1) MAC-Barestudy ... to extreme right is (6) Earth-Glo minerals

Can you see the differences? Eyeshadows are more vibrant on Foreverglam primer, Detrivore primer and Earth-glo minerals (which I've just recently bought and received today)

Hmm... my personal opinion... the least impressed ones are (1) Bare study and (4) EG minerals.

The most vibrant one seems to be (5) Detrivore primer.

So there you go... hope my info does help you in finding a good primer without having to spend too much! :)
