The Body Shop BLUSH TRIO Swatches!

Today I received another package which I have ordered from Ebay. It's the Body Shop Blush Trio in #01- Cool Dusk and #02- Warm Sunset . I bought both of them from ebay seller: cindydixon02007. Price for each: GBP $7.25 + Int.shipping for both: GBP $8 (Therefore total: GBP $22.50). Each contains 8g (0.28 Oz) of product.

Well, these blushes have been in the market for quite sometime and there are quite a few reviews on these wonderful products. I think they are discontinued and probably ebay is one of the websites where you can purchased these.

Description as:-

Create a fresh, flirty, natural-looking complexion highlighted by soft shimmer accents with muted blush tones. Each palette features a trio of soft muted blush tones infused with pearly shimmer particles to create a natural-looking complexion and soft shimmer highlights.

With no further ado, here are the swatches:-

From left: Cool Dusk and Warm Sunset

Cool Dusk

Then bottom of hand, swatched all colors blended together.

They are smooth and pigmented!

Warm Sunset

Then bottom of hand swatched with all colors blended together.

I absolutely love this one!

Have a good day!!!!

Update on Aqua Petite Jelly BB cream

Hi all, as mentioned on the last blog, I am here to update you guys on performance of the bb cream. I've tried it on today and gosh, I'm totally into it! Although it's like a jelly consistency, when you apply on your face, it basically turn to water like feel and it has a cooling effect. Initially I thought it's goona look pinkish on me but no, it actually blend into my skin tone (Fair/ NC15)

Compare to other bb creams which I have- Elishacoy Premium Gold, Missha... etc, in my opinion, this has better oil control. I had makeup on from 9am till 8pm and my skin still looked the same. Usually after long wearing of bb cream, my nose area will be oily but not with this!
It's definitely worth a try!

Anyway here are some pics:-
Ignore my nose, i didn't blend in properly and you could see my obvious pores!

Haul! Holika Holika Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream SPF 20 + Physician Formula Mineral Wear Airbrushing Kabuki Brush

Today I received 2 packages which I've ordered from Ebay.
(1) Aqua Petit Jelly BB cream SPF 20 PA++ (Color: #1 Light Beige)
Price: USD$27.83 + free standard int.shipping from seller: rubyruby76
(Currently on promo- 30% off. Therefore the price is USD$19.48)

I got to know about this brand only through random search from google. There are quite a few good reviews about this bb cream so I thought I'll just try it out.

General BB cream characteristics:-
  • Natural glow on your face without makeup look
  • Provides perfect coverage just like foundationbut without clogging pores or damaging the skin
  • Conceals all types of pigmentation, discoloration, acne and marks
  • Healing properties which soften, smoothen n refine skin
  • UV protection for healthy skin
  • Some BB cream have additional features such as wrinkle improvement, whitening functions etc.
Description of this bb cream:-
  • This product contains over 70% healthy aqua. The moistful jelly texture on your skin is enriched with moisture, soaking into your skin and clarifying your skin, an new moisture technology BB cream
  • Most BB cream has kind of gray n dark cast on your skin but for Aqua Petit, it has bright and natural color when applied onto skin
  • Contains SPF 20/PA ++
As you can see from the pics below, it comes in a very cute packaging (50 ml) with a spatula and a sponge. It's in a cute plastic jelly/pudding like container. The product itself is very much like pudding form but yet when you spread out, it's very watery yet absorbs into skin very fast and as described, don't really feel anything applied to skin. There is a scent in this cream unlike some of the other bb creams which I owned. It's a pleasant scent, not very strong but if you're not into scent in the product, then this is not for you.
I have not tried on my face as I just received the item today but based on the swatch on my hand, I realise that the color n texture are indeed very different from other bb creams. The bb creams I have do have gray cast to it but not for this. This color is more like proper skin shade. However if you notice from the pics below, after blending out, it does have abit of pink tone to it so I'm not sure how it'll turn out on my face. I shall try and update you again.

Now this is another product which I bought on Ebay from a seller: whitelipstick
Physician Formula Airbrushing Kabuki Brush
Price: USD $10.50 each + $8.95 UPS First Class mail Int. (I bought 2)
I am very excited about this poduct. OMG! The brush is exactly as described- Softest Brush ever!
Desciption:-
  • Flawless airbrush results
  • Professional quality mineral makeup tool delivers the ultimate flawless and seamless coverage.
  • New ultra-dense flat shape enhances the natual blendability of mineral pigments, buffing on skin for a completely uniform and even application of powder.
  • The result is a visibly soft, smooth, perfectly even complexion with airbrushed finish.
Directions:-
The airbrushing kabuki can be used to apply pressed and loose powders. Simply sweep the brush over the product and tap to remove excess powder for the most even application. Buff on face and neck for a flawless, airbrushed finish.

Well, look at the density. Really dense and soft! Love it!!!!

Once again, I have not tested the product on my face as I just received items today. I will wash it late and update you on that. Even though it stated that it's suitable for Mineral pressed & loose powder, I think it might be a good brush for liquid foundation as well. I'll try that out and let you know as well.

I'm baccckkk!

Hi there! Sorry I've been MIA for awhile. As I'm a mother of 2, I've been totally flat out with them especially since my older one started his kindy this year. :) Alot of things have happened and one of them will be me... being pregnant with the 3rd child and of course with that, I'm back to the whole pregnancy process especially the morning sickness part. Gosh... I'm currently already 21 weeks and on off still having the morning sickness and NO, I certainly don't enjoy that part! LOL ... But it's all good. just went for my 2nd ultrasound scan and bub is doing well. I've been feeling lots of baby kicks recently. Hmm... actually with the 3rd pregnancy, I could feel the baby move about when I'm about 16wks pregnant. Feels miracle! However I do easily feel tired probably due to having to look after my 2 cheeky boys too!

Anyways, I am back and hopefully I can update more hauls whenever I can. Take care to all and oh... I know it's already March but just wanna say late "HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011". See you soon!!!

Here's a pic of my bub inside me!
