Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo - 001 Pink Glow

Hi, I bought the Limited Edition Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in shade: 001 Pink Glow (for USD$79.99 with free int.shipping) awhile back through Ebay (seller: babysweetie7).

I'm not sure if you can still get it in store as it is a Limited Edition item. It comes in 2 shades: 001 Pink Glow and 002 Coral Glow. The shade in Coral Glow seemed to be the more popular one, that's why it sold out quicker than the other. Nonethless, I think Pink Glow is gorgeous and I thought the price is ok when  it comes with 2 products in one compact... bronzer / blush + a mini buki brush and it contains total of 9.5g of product. I thought the compact itself is beautiful too. :)

You may still get it on Ebay. I just had a look and I think the seller whom I bought from is the cheapest to go with. (the price is cheaper compare to buying directly in Australia) ;)

Since there are already so many reviews about this product, I'll just go ahead with the photos to show the packaging and swatches.

Ok guys, hope you have a lovely weekend! xxx

Difference between Tom Ford Shade and illuminate- 01 Intensity One and Hourglass Illume Duo- Bronze

Hi, hope everybody is well. Continued from previous posts, I just wanna share some pics on the differences between Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate (luxury end) and the Hourglass Illume Duo (high end). As from reviews on internet, everyone is saying that Hourglass Illume is very similar to the TomFord Shade and Illuminate but frankly speaking, besides having two products in one compact, they are totally different from one another. In terms of bronzer, the Hourglass has more orange/red tone to it which can be use as contour but mainly as bronzer whereas the Tom Ford one is truly mainly for contouring. Highlighters are of different shades too. (please refer to photos)
The texture for both products are very different too. Tom Ford has a more slippery emollient texture for both contour / highlight while Hourglass has a more cream to powder feel.

Without further ado, here are the swatches...

Well, hope you find this info helpful to you!

Have a good night everyone! x

Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate -01 Intensity One

My friend recently went to Singapore for a short trip and I got her to get for me the well known - Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate (There is a Tom Ford cosmetics store in Singapore- Tangs). There are 2 shades but I got the lighter one in 01 Intensity One. It is a very expensive product but I can understand why theres so much hype about it. Luxurious compact with a velvet pouch and simply is a beautiful product. It was SGD$100 but after GST refund, currency conversion, it was about AUD$80. You can get it at Harrods (they ship internationally but with a whopping shipping cost of  GBP$25) or at David Jones in Hay Street Perth and the price for this item is AUD$100.

Description from website:

From Tom Ford's point of view, the first step to beauty is understanding the architecture of your face and bringing balance and symmetry to your features.

This duet of highlighting and shading creams is designed to make sculpting and contouring the face remarkably simple.

The super sheer, light shade can be used to draw light onto the skin to brighten and lift the face. The dark shade defines and contours bones while staying invisible to the naked eye.

About Tom Ford Beauty:
After gaining international fame turning Gucci into an icon of sexy, modern fashion, American designer Tom Ford introduced Tom Ford Beauty. The captivating collection includes heady fragrances and rich, intensely hued cosmetics.

To be honest, I don't know how to describe the feel of texture... creamy and very emollient. Especially the highlighter part, it may look white in compact but no matter how many times I swipe, there's no much color, abit of white but more like a glossy glow... and somehow it gives that beautiful glow without any stickiness or oily feel and as for the contour shade, it's the perfect shade as contour for my fair skin.

And here was the makeup I did on the weekend trying out this product.

with the Tom Ford contour shade, unblended

With the highlighter on cheek bones. PS: Please don't mind my messy hair. That's my natural wave. :(

Can you see that glow?
