City Color haul

Yup… That’s what I bought from BuyInvite.com.au and it took almost almost 4 weeks to arrive. Poor packaging so ended up with a few damaged items but other than that, very happy with my purchases.

Gosh gotta find some place to keep them now. Will do some swatches soon!

Real techniques has come up with two makeup palettes and as I’m in love with their makeup brushes, of course I wouldn’t miss out on the palettes. Here I am with the pics and swatches of one of their palettes in ‘Modern Natural’ – USD $25 (ships internationally)

Overall Opinion:-

Packaging- uhmm, nothing fancy. There’s no mirror and feels cheap as its just made up of cardboard and the middle part is just plastic sheet.

Eyeshadows- Smooth and good pigmentation especially the matte brown shade.

Eyeliner- Not as creamy and less pigmented. It’s not waterproof and for my oily lids, it’ll probably smudge and fade easily. Definitely have to use eye primer and that may help.

Blush- light pink shade with ok pigmentation. Sheer but buildable. Above pic with 2 swipes.

Highlighter – creamy and pigmented. I like it!

Overall it is a nice palette to have especially for travelling. :)

Below are the swatches and the makeup look which I’ve done (with all the shades). Unfortunately the photos of my eye look didn’t show well but they are truly beautiful and very pigmented shades indeed.

Make Up Forever Artist Palette

Description:

Intense Pay-off, Highly blendable.

This is a limited edition Artist palette features 8 super smooth eyeshadows that boast superior color pay-off and blendability.

My opinion:

Some of these eyeshadows have rough texture however they are very pigmented and do swatch beautifully. There’s only one matte and the rest are more of satin/ shimmers.  Unfortunately the matte doesn’t show on my skin tone. I may be able to use it as a transition shading color but doubt will show as brow highlight. The rest of shades are beautiful. The shades consist of:

M – 536, I – 524, I – 550, D – 652, *ME – 728,   *ME – 230, *D – 926, *ME – 930
