Review on FACE IT Splash BB Cream (By FaceShop) & Guerlain Meteorites

I recently got a gift from a friend of mine. She went to Korea for holiday and got me a BB Cream from FaceShop. I have tried Missha BB cream- No.21 but this BB cream is very different to that. The cream texture is thick and I initially thought that it's gonna be sticky and hard to blend but when I spread it out, although the color looks darker than my skin tone, it blended in with my skin tone and it does feel great on my skin, no stickness and it just smoothes out my fine lines and brightens up my face. I'm pretty impressed with this product. There is a FACESHOP Boutique in Perth City and some other places in Perth. I'm not sure of the pricing here in Australia but certainly worth checking out.

The other product which I had got was from Ebay. - Guerlain Meteorites Miniatures. It comes with 3 little Meteorites- Beige Chic, Pink Fresh, Mystic

Beige Chic- could apply as a blusher, light contour, bronzer?

Pink Fresh- Blusher

Mystic- Highlighter, face brightener

(The colors in the mini boxes are shown on the pics below. Each of them has different colors and different purposes for you to use). The kit also comes with a free brush. Brush is pretty soft but because the bristles is in pink, I can't bare to use it. :)

Me with my cleaned face

Applied the BB cream after moisturising my face. A little product goes a long way.

Can you see how it brighten up my face?

Using the 3 colors meteorites

Beige Chic as Contour, Pink Fresh as blush and Mystic as highlight.

Add abit of face powder and DONE!!! Here's my look after applying both BB cream and Meteorites from Guerlain.

Aromaleigh mineral swatches

I have heard alot about the Aromaleigh eyeshadows so recently I've decided to purchase some to try out. As they currently having a promotion for some of the collections, I ordered the Sonic eyes collection. Usual price was USD $6.50, currently on sale for $3.90 and there is an additional 25% off with the promo code: Fleur25. This promo code ends on the 14/5/10. It's a Great deal and I'm considering of getting more of these range.

Here are the swatches of the items I've got:- (Swatch them on bare hands)

From Top row, left to right are: Stillinhollywood (Gorgeous purplish tone with tons of fine glitters) , Blackdiamond (black with silverish glitters), Estranged (shimmer lime green)

Middle row, left to right are: Psychocandy (Hot pink with tons of fine glitters-I like it!), Adrenochrome (Shimmery silver with lots of silver fine glitters), helter (red with fine pinkish glitter, very pretty), Spellbound (matte purple), Whiteriot (shimmery white with very fine glitters), Velvetgoldmine (orangey gold with very fine orange glitters)

Last row, left to right are: Shadowplay (Black with very fine green glitters), Boilingpoint (kinda reddish pink with very fine red glitters), Agentorange
(Bright shimmery orange)

On my eyes is Estranged. (Oops, think I didn't blend properly and could see some creases.)

As you have noticed, most of the eyeshadows which I've ordered are very shimmery/glittery. I simply love glittery stuffs and eyeshadows are of no exception! Sometimes when you get eyeshadows with glitters, they tend to be abit of a rougher texture. However these are different... the texture are so smooth and fine, can't even feel the glitters at all and I'm absolutely in love with all the colors I've bought. I can't wait to try them all and also to order more!!!

PS: Just my opinion, to get the eyeshadows to last longer, always use a primer or apply it wet to get the best effect. If you just apply on your eyes without any base, the glitters will not stay and just fall everywhere and the eyeshadow tends to fade off very fast.

Palettes which were purchased from Ebay - 30 colors...

Bought this 30 color palette from one of the ebay stores quite some time ago and thought I should post a blog about it. This palatte is a good start for anyone basically. It has different range of colors from pink, green to purple... Some chalky and fragile but then overall most colors with good pigmentation especially the shimmer/metallic ones. The palette is pretty much similar to the 88 color with black shiny compact.
I think you can still get them on Ebay. Just search under "30 color" or "manly" and should be able to find from there.

Below are the pics and swatches:-

(PS: 2nd row only has 4 colors cos the last color (Black) was totally wrecked when I dropped the whle palette. I've restored a few of them thats why you could see that the surface of some are not smooth)

Swatches: Top with primer
Bottom with nothing

E.g. Besides white, the color payoff for this row... the same with primer... which is great!

Love the purples...

and blues... aqua...etc...

Another post will be on the 80 eyeshadow palette which I bought from Ebay as well. Stay tuned!

I'm back with MORE Makeup hauls!

Hey everybody, long time no see! Sorry for not posting any blogs for such a long time. As mentioned on my last blog, I had a major operation and recuperating from that. I am feeling much better compare to the 1st few weeks after operation. My surgeon said it'll probably take at least 3mths for the wound to heal properly.

Anywayz, during this period, I have collated a few makeups haul and pics to share with you guys and here they are:-

  1. Eye Shimmer trio from sportsgirl. Usual price: AUD$9.95. Got them for AUD$4.95 (50% off)

From left: Sherbet, Pop and Natural

Sherbet (Top swatch with primer, bottom swatch without primer)

Pop (Top with primer, bottom without primer)

Natural (Top with primer, bottom without primer)
Comes in very cute pouches. Reason I bought because of the pouch. The pouch will fit any 3g jar. Very handy for outing. You can pick any 3 colors and just put into the pouch. As for the shimmer, they are very pretty and shimmery. If you like shimmery eyeshadows, you won't regret getting these as they're really shimmery. However because they're loose pigments, unless you apply them wet or with primer, they'll fade away just with one swipe.

2. Eyeshadows and lip candy from High voltage cosmetics (www.hvcosmetics.zxq.net)

From top left: Born to rock, Midnight Desire, Dark Desire, After hours
Bottom: Gagalicious Lip Candy

*Eyeshadows swatched with primer

I love Midnight desire and After hours. Very pretty and vibrant!

Gagalicious on my lip. Gheez... LOVE IT!!!! It's so pigmented... small amount will do! The color is so vibrant and VERY smooth. Not sticky/tacky at all. Hmm... somehow it taste very sweet too. Just wonder is that why it's called Lip Candy? Oh well.. it's all good and definitely worth the price. Only USD $6.

More blogs to come! Please check it out. xoxo

Something personal to share...

Here it goes... everything was well with my 2nd pregnancy, I was enjoying the pregnancy stages and went for regular checkups, everything was fine, bub's healthy and I'm healthy. When I was in labor, I had an emergency episiotomy and my beautiful Ronan came into the world. Within the next couple of days, I suddenly had excrutiating pain and blood clots. Went to the hospital and was suspected that my uterus was infected due to the episiotomy. Sigh... had anti-biotics for treatment. Thought problem solved but later realised that there was a lump on my abdomen. Initially the doc thought it could be my uterus but after much checking, my uterus has already fully gone down, that might be something else. Well, was referred to get an ultra-sound scan, did that, results came back as possible "Hematoma" which is bruises/clot in my abdomen wall muscle and that could have happened due to my strenuous pushing during labor. I was told it should be fine and the lump should gradually subside.

However that didn't happen! After 4mths later, lump is still there and size feel the same so once again, I went back for another ultra-sound scan and a Biopsy to determine the cause. I've just gone back to my GP last Fri to get the results and guess what.... I was told that it's not just Hematoma, it may be a soft-tissue tumor! How do you think I would react? Of course I was in real shock! Why didn't they do a biospy in the 1st place when I had the lump? I was frustrated and at same time upset about it cos in my heart I was thinking.... Y ME? I've been healthy and been several health checks and nothing wrong but why now? I was told that there's nothing I could do but to go for excision. Therefore my GP referred me to a well-known surgeon.

I just went to see the surgeon on Mon. He felt the lump and believed that it's "DESMOID TUMOR". This type of tumor is rare and usually happen only after pregnancy. :( I'm just the unlucky one to have it. Because the growth is in my abdomen wall tissue and it can grow rapidly, massively and deadly, he had to do an agressive operation which is to remove most of my muscle and then replace with a mesh. Damn... medical term is too deep for me, a commoner, to understand. Thank god my hubby was there and he understood every single word the surgeon advise. So there it started... I have to go through 2 operations. First op will be biospy of the tissue which happened yesterday. It was a day surgery and I was discharged in the evening. The stitches vertically down (about 5cm long) just in the middle, right side of my abdomen. The pain was still endurable cos I've been taking painkillers. Now... all I need to do is to wait for the actual results and the next operation will be on next Wed. That will be the major one and if it's confirmed Desmoid Tumor, then he'll have to cut me up more... probably below my breasts all the way down to near pelvis. OUCH OUCH OUCH... That's too emotional for me! The problem is I scarred easily, even a mosquitoe bite could scar me , let alone this LONG scar which I'm gonna have on my belly and gonna be a PERMANENT one! How can I accept that... I can't but I have no choice. In order to survive, I have no other choice but to go through this op!
I've cried and cried but my tears have dried and all I wish is this problem to end so I can move on. I will then later have to learn to deal with the scar... at most, no more bikinis, no more exposing of my belly...etc...

Oh well, I just need to let it all out. It's just hard to keep it inside me, at least I felt better after expressing on my blog. Thankfully I have a supportive hubby and wonderful in-laws here for me. (As I'm all alone here in Perth and family back in spore)

Latest pics of me and my beloved family

Well, this is my 1st attempt of cut crease. Wat do you think of it?

My first attempt of wearing false lashes. Even though it's the Revlon Fantasy self-adhesive lashes, it still took me awhile to put them on. Damn...
But in the end, it's worth trying! :)

Random pics of me and my family... from Dec 09 to Jan 10!
