I'm back with more hauls!

Hey guys, it's been awhile since I last posted a blog. Too many things happened. I took my kids back to my hometown for holiday and just came back last month, then when we came back, we were all sick probably from the flight and also with the viruses going around this time of the year. Now is Autumn and soon will be Summer so hopefully during the next few months, we'll be healthier and won't be sick as we were just recently.

This shall be my 1st haul after some time. I actually bought this back in July but just didn't have the time to post it. Since I have successfully uploaded all the photos into the computer, here I am starting with.....

DETRIVORES COSMETICS: 9 new eyeshadows which were launched back in June 2010
I purchased them during the promo period when they were USD $20 for the lot and the shipping cost to Australia - USD $5 int. shipping.

EYESHADOWS:-
  1. Lobotomy (Highlight) - Light blend of white and gold. Very shimmery
  2. Harpy (Satin) - Metallic pinkish purple color
  3. Critter (Satin) - Dark gold
  4. Leviathan (Satin) - Light teal
  5. Kraken (Satin) - Deep blue green satin. Similar to brine, but more on the blue side
  6. Diatom (Satin) - Golden brown
  7. Tommyknocker (Matte) - Med green matte
  8. Midnight (Matte) - Detrivores darkest blue
  9. Damage (Original) - Reddish pink with golden shimmer

BLUSHES:- Bought 4 sample sizes- USD$1 each (With generous amount, sample size generally filled up a 3-5gm jar)

  1. Vulgar - Bright frost pink. Matte. Not safe to use on lips as it is made with an ultramarines.
  2. Poison - Bright pink color. Color is similar to matte shadow Starlet but a bit darker. Matte. Color is made of carmine and not vegan friendly.
  3. Spoiled - Purplish pink color. Matte and great as an eyeshadow.
  4. Thing - Shimmery pale peachy color.

Also, I got 2 free gifts: Eyeshadow primer + eyeshadow (Decimation- Metallic Bronze). The eyeshadow came in a ziplock bag and I transferred it to a jar.

Pics and swatches (on bare hand) as shown below:-

From top left:- Lobotomy, Harpy, Critter
Bottom left:- Leviathan, Kraken

From top left:- Diatom, Tommyknocker
Bottom left:- Midnight, Damage, Decimation (this is the free gift given)

Top:- Vulgar
Bottom:- Poison

Top: Spoiled
Bottom:- Thing (I'm in love with this!)

I have always loved Detrivore eyeshadows, highly pigmented for a fraction of price compare to some other mineral cosmetics companies. Generous amount given, even for a sample size.
The normal price for a 5 gm jar (Original collection) - USD $3 each
Matte collection - USD $5 each
Satin collection - USD $5 each
Highlight collection: USD $3 each
SAMPLE sizes: $1 each
If you want the loose eyeshadows to stay longer on lid, advisable to apply an eyeshadow primer. Because the amount given is full to brim of the jar, got to be be careful when opening it as it sometimes does spill out but hey, what does it matter... doesn't bother me as I'm getting alot of product for such a great price!
Oh yes, I just went to their website and found out that they just launced another 19 new eyeshadows. Hoo-ray.... I'm going to order them tonight! You guys should check them out too. Here's the website:- http://www.detrivorecosmetics.com/

Ebay palettes

I recently purchased this 120 color palette from an Ebay Seller: under-net. OMG!!!!!! This palette is insane! Upon purchasing it, because of the value, I didn't really put high hope into this palette but when I received it, holy grail.... the colors are SO VIBRANT! I did some swatches on my finger and although the texture may be abit rough, JUST ONE SWIPE, you could see the intense of the colors. They are so pigmented and most colors are vibrant and true to its color. Price for it is USD$14.99 + FREE SHIPPING. Really good deal for an amazing palette.

***However I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who's sensitive to fragrance smell. This palette may be a good value for money but they do have a very strong scent of smell. Perfumed! When I tried them on my eyes, I could basically smell the fragrance for quite sometime before it faded away. They are shimmery eyeshadows. If you are looking for matte, this is not the palette for you either. Those are the 2 negative things I could think of.

Brand: Nobility Shines Series Eyeshadow (forgot to check which country it made from- will check & update on that)

Shadows come in croc skin case

Colors are more vibrant in real life.

Swatches from the Top 1st row starting from left... (****Without primer, just on bare hand)

2nd row- A mixture from pastel to bright colors

3rd Row- This row consists of pastel colors

6th row- Combination of pinks, purples...

7th row- More pastel colors.

12 row

Example of the eyeshadows I used on this palette

Okay... this is another palette which I have bought quite some time ago from a different Ebay seller (can't recall who that was). It's also the same brand but different shades of colors. This palette consists of 96 colors and the colors are more of neutrals with a few similar colors in the palette itself. I weren't as excited about this palette but ... oh well, since I've bought it, might as well try to use it. :) Some of teh colors on this palette might look the same but when I swatched them on my hand, they are actually different tone of shades. They are shimmery and quite pigmented. Stange enough, Although they may be of same brand, this palette however didn't have the strange fragrance smell like the other one. Hmm... I really wonder about that!

Anyways here are the swatches:-

1st row starting from left (according to the palette)
2nd row- Pretty shades of colors
3rd row

Review on FACE IT Splash BB Cream (By FaceShop) & Guerlain Meteorites

I recently got a gift from a friend of mine. She went to Korea for holiday and got me a BB Cream from FaceShop. I have tried Missha BB cream- No.21 but this BB cream is very different to that. The cream texture is thick and I initially thought that it's gonna be sticky and hard to blend but when I spread it out, although the color looks darker than my skin tone, it blended in with my skin tone and it does feel great on my skin, no stickness and it just smoothes out my fine lines and brightens up my face. I'm pretty impressed with this product. There is a FACESHOP Boutique in Perth City and some other places in Perth. I'm not sure of the pricing here in Australia but certainly worth checking out.

The other product which I had got was from Ebay. - Guerlain Meteorites Miniatures. It comes with 3 little Meteorites- Beige Chic, Pink Fresh, Mystic

Beige Chic- could apply as a blusher, light contour, bronzer?

Pink Fresh- Blusher

Mystic- Highlighter, face brightener

(The colors in the mini boxes are shown on the pics below. Each of them has different colors and different purposes for you to use). The kit also comes with a free brush. Brush is pretty soft but because the bristles is in pink, I can't bare to use it. :)

Me with my cleaned face

Applied the BB cream after moisturising my face. A little product goes a long way.

Can you see how it brighten up my face?

Using the 3 colors meteorites

Beige Chic as Contour, Pink Fresh as blush and Mystic as highlight.

Add abit of face powder and DONE!!! Here's my look after applying both BB cream and Meteorites from Guerlain.
