LORAC Bejeweled Day & Night Jewelry Box (LIMITED EDITION)

This is the Limited Edition Holiday collection- Bejeweled Day & Night Jewelry box. As usual, I managed to get this item via ebay for USD$65 (including int.shipping). The selling price for this item in Sephora USA is USD$56 (Total value of items worth $415). It is a gorgeous jewelry box with lace and glitters. The only negative about the box is that the glitter is chunky, gritty and tons of fall out (eg. onto the table or hands...)
As for the products in the box, I am very impressed with them especially the eyeshadows and blushes. Beautiful pigmented and super smooth texture!

Here are the descriptions of the items:-

MAC Posh Paradise Paint pots

I have recently purchased the MAC paint pots from the Posh Paradise collection through an Ebay seller named achandco. The Mac counters in Australia are selling these paint pots for AUD$35 each but I managed to get them via ebay for USD $21.50 each (+ $6 shipping for the whole lot). Well, it's certainly a rip-off to buy from Australia when you can get it cheaper else where.

Anyhow these are the 3 shades I bought:

Idyllic : Mid-tone copper bronze (Very pigmented)

Genuine Treasure : Reflects antique gold. (There is a mixed reviews about this one but I do like it. It is a gorgeous color. The application is very smooth and does not have the gritty feeling of the glitters. It is quite sheer but you could add on more for intensity. )

 Half-Wild : Mid-tone purple (Very pigmented)

Left to right: Idyllic, Genuine Treasure and Half-Wild

True to it's description, they are indeed very long lasting and I've worn Genuine treasure several times and has not smudged on me. So definitely worth the buy!

Comparision between Nars- Albatross highlighter and Giella Eye M Glam

I have been asked about the differences between Nars Albatross and Giella Eye M Glam highlighter. Well, the differences would be:-

Nars Albatross -
  •  Pressed powder Highlighter blush
  •  USD$27 (http://www.narscosmetics.com)
  • Mainly for face usage as highlighter (but I suppose there's no harm using it as highlighter for eyes)
  • Shade is more of whitish gold tone with extremely fine shimmers.

Giella Eye M Glam -
  • Finely milled loose powder highlighter
  • USD$35 (http://giella.com) A little goes a long way so a jar will last a LONG time!
  • Can be use on eyes, face and any part of body to brighten, highlight and lift.
  • On the website, it stated as it gives a golden glow. When I swatched it, it's more of a rosey gold tone on me and it has more shimmers to it. However it blends out beautifully on skin.

Below are the swatches:-

Left: Albatross
Right: Eye M Glam

Unfortunately the camera didn't pick up the color of the highlighters on my cheeks but I do hope this helps with your search of the highlighter that you want!

It's been awhile! Here some pics of my little addition to the family.

Hello... It's been awhile since I've MIA as you have read my earlier blog, I was waiting for my 3rd baby to pop out and eventually she did ... after 11 days overdue and induction. Yeah!!!! Here she is. Well, she was born on late Jul so she's not really a new born bub. Hee! She is almost 7 weeks old now. Time just flies and I don't know where it has gone as it's just hectic for me especially now with 3 young kids! Anyways, just wanna share some of the pics from birth of Myka ... etc... till now.

I will try to do more blogs when I have the opportunity to do so! Till then... have a lovely week! xoxo
