MaqPro - 6 colour Fard Creme foundation Palette Shade - E6 Asian Skin 2 swatch

Hello everyone, hope life is treating you well. It's currently school holidays so I have been busy with my kids and the only time I can spend to post is during night time. Hence here I am with my first haul, swatch for Year 2014. The item I'm gonna mention is the MaqPro 6 Colour Fard Creme foundation. I first got to know about this brand was through Youtuber- PixiWoo few years ago and I had the thought of trying out this brand but sort of forgotten about it until one day when I was youtubing [gossmakeupartist] and googling, once again I saw reviews about this brand and that tempted me to try out. There are a few websites where you can purchase this brand eg. www.love-makeup.co.uk,
www.maqpro.com and www.camerareadycosmetics.com

There weren't many reviews about what I looking for but I did managed to find a few. There are many other range palettes in this brand eg. lip palette, cheek/lip palette etc... but I decided to try this palette in Shade - E6 Asian Skin 2. I bought mine from www.camerareadycosmetics.com and the price was AUD$41.61 + international shipping $15.74 = $57.35. Well, I was surprised when I saw the shipping cost as I thought the shipping cost used to be much cheaper. Anyways I can't complain much it actually does contain a good amount of product and price did worked out reasonable for 4 shades.

Here's a short description on the website:

MaqPro offers a range of standard pallets in our classic fard creme foundation. These are highly pigmented and great for HD. We suggest using the makeup base mixer by MAQPRO to thin.

This palette consists of shades-

141, 90, 52, 143, 95 and C.I

There is another palette for Asian skin tone and it's the E5 Asian Skin but I somehow think some of the shades too warm/pink and there is only one fair shade whereas this palette is very versatile as it consist of two fair yellow undertone and a kinda salmon shade to counteract the dark undereye circles, darker shades to contour face and etc... it was actually fun to play around with the colours.
Initially I thought the fair shades were too fair but then I started mixing abit of the shade C.I and 95 to create the shade that matched my skin tone and viola...

The texture is wax based and in my opinion, it may not be as easy to apply like liquid foundation, it did blend out evenly with my Sigma flat kabuki F80 brush and I seriously don't feel a thing on my face. Well you know sometimes you can feel the foundation on the face if it's too thick but not with this. I think the most important thing is to apply very thin layer at a time and add on more if needed. A little goes a long way! On the photos below, I only applied one layer and I seriously thought it did a great job brightening my face, however if you have an oily/ combination skin like mine, you may wanna add some powder to keep the shine away.

Well here are the swatches and pics of me before and after....

Shades and ingredients stated on the back.

Top from left- 141, 90, 52
Bottom - 143, 95, C.I

As you can see there are quite a few warm shades but I think you can mix and match to get the shades you wanted... I have fair Olive skin so I think this is a great palette to start with...

I mixed shade CI and 95

After blending out, it was pretty much my skin tone...

Here's me with my bare ugly face...

and here's me with one layer of foundation...

and here's me with full face makeup....

I added loose powder to keep the shine away... and I thought my face looked pretty nice on the camera. What do you think?

Finally... after about 5 hours... face still not bad but abit of shine starting to show on my nose. Mind you, I do have very oily nose so this is pretty good!

Ok dokie, sorry for being so longwinded! I do hope you enjoy coming though my blog site and I hope to post more stuffs in the near future. Till then, good night and have a lovely weekend! x
