Giella Eye M Glam highlighter

Hi guys, sorry it's been awhile since my last blog. As you would have known by now, I am actually due to have my 3rd child, that's why I haven't been blogging for awhile. My due date supposed to be on the 15th July but till now, bub still dun wanna come out!!! I'm already 6 days overdue and if bub's not out by 24th, I have been booked in for induction on the 25th which I dread of cos with my 1st child, it was a long agony process of induction and ended up I had to go through C-sect cos it was way too long - 28hrs of labour! Anyways... since bub still not out and I feel like blogging today, I thought I should review on this product which I bought awhile ago.

It's the EYE M GLAM highlighter by Giella Cosmetics. It is created by Mario Dedivanovic and here is the description by him:-

EYE M GLAM is a sheer highlighting powder that will give you the most gorgeous, golden glow. Using GIELLA mineral pigments, I custom blended EYE M GLAM while sitting on the floor in my apartment one evening, determined to come up with the best highlighter. I wanted a product that would give all my clients a consistently sheer and natural glow. Being able to use and test it on my celebrity clients for television, photo shoots and on red carpets has helped me perfect EYE M GLAM into a universal shade that is flattering on all skin tones." -Mario Dedivanovic

Mario's tips:
-Use EYE M GLAM on the inner corners of eyes to separate and brighten them. Apply onto your brow bone to highlight and lift.
-For bullet proof eye makeup that wont move, use Magnetic Eye first, followed by EYE M GLAM.
-For more intensity, wet your brush with a bit of water.
-Highlight your face with EYE M GLAM. Swipe down the bridge of nose, across cheek bones and on your cupids bow
-Dust EYE M GLAM along your collar bones and dekolletage at night
-Mix it with your tinted moisturizer or foundation for an all over golden glow.

Well, I got to know about this wonderful product from a Youtuber: BEATFACEHONEY and she highly recommended this product so I thought... why not, give it a try!and hell yeah, I have no regret getting it! For $35, you are getting quite alot of product and trust me, a little goes a long way so for the price, it's worth every penny! You could use this on your face and also safe for eyes. I bought mine from this website: http://www.papoledancing.com/shop/giella-eye-m-glam-highlighter.html
It's USD $35 (Including shipping) which is cheaper than getting directly from Giella Cosmetics website.

I've tried a few times and it does give a nice glow to my face. Not glittery and definitely not overly shimmery at all. Very smooth and just gives a nice glow and as for the color, only comes in one shade and I think this shade is versatile to all skin tone. It kinda like rose gold tone and not only it's great as cheek highlighter, certainly looks great as highlighter on browbone or inner corner of the eyes as well.

Anyway, here are the pics and swatches. Very simple packaging but hey most importantly is the product itself is great. The product comes in a nice velvet pouch which I like!

Well, hope you enjoy this review and hope to do more blogs when I can!

Take care and have a lovely week ahead! xo

Sleek Mediterranean Collection + True Color Lipsticks

Here's one of the latest from Sleek cosmetics- Mediterranean Collection + some lipsticks. I ordered them directly from www.sleekmakeup.com. The items which I have ordered were:- (+ int.shipping :$13.50)

Monaco I-Divine palette - USD$10.50
Blush in Santorini - USD$6.50
True Color Lipsticks - USD$6.00 each
(Sheen - Peaches & Cream, Barely There, Fuchsia)
(Matte - Papaya Punch, Mystic)

Overall I pretty happy with my purchases (Except one of the lipsticks were damaged upon receiving it but I contacted Sleek and they will replace me a new one.) I have always like their makeup range especially the eyeshadows and blushes. This is actually my 1st time trying out their lipsticks. There are 2 different types of lipsticks choice- Sheen or Matte. Both types are pigmented but comparing on both, Sheen lipsticks are more moisturising whereas Matte can be very dry and if you have dry lips, they'll emphasize on the dry/ crack lips. Recommend to apply lip balm before applying matte lipsticks.

As for Monaco I-Divine eyeshadows, here is the description:-

Inspired by the Mediterranean, this 12 shade palette is the perfect addition to your summer make-up. Choose from sunset oranges and browns, or breezy turquoise to highlight your holiday tan! Best worn with our hot pink Monte Carlo pout polish and Santorini blush to achieve the perfect Mediterranean summer look.

Santorini blush:-

A highly pigmented hot pink blush, sweep on to cheekbones lightly for the perfect day time pinky flush, or build for a dramatic evening look. Best worn with our Monaco i-Divine and Monte Carlo Pout Polish to achieve that Mediterranean Summer look.

This time round, I didn't get the pout Polish as I've read several reviews and although it looked vibrant and yummy on the website, the reviews about were - too sheer, not as pigmented as wanted it to be.

So here are the pics and swatches:-

Swatches from left:  Peaches & Cream, Barely There (the one which was damaged as you can see), Papaya Punch, Mystic and Fuchsia

Nice and cute sleek packaging. (Please note that the lipsticks only contain 3.5g of product unlike other lipsticks e.g. NYX, others contain 4g of product)

Monaco I-Divine swatches from top left: Bamboo, Aquamarine, Mignight Garden,
Sunset, Washed Ashore, Magenta Madness.
From bottom left: Summer Breeze, Sand Walker, Kiwi Zest,
Lotus Flower, Humming Bird, Moors Treasure.

As you can see from swatches, this palette has a combination of matte, shimmer and metallic tone. My favourite would be Sunset, Humming bird and Kiwi Zest.
